Big Ideas, Real Change.

Hello!

I’m Leanne Webster, the owner of Wild Gully Therapy & Nature Play, Bundaberg’s only nature play specialist. Did you know, I was trained and mentored by Wildlings Forest School on the Sunshine Coast and completed their Nature Business Course? I hold a Bachelor of Education in Early Childhood and have worked tirelessly to ensure all my training, policies, and procedures are up to date.

I can support you and your service with training in fire education, hand tools, bush kindy principles, loose parts play, sensory play, risky play, and more. Let me write your write lesson plans, risk assessments, and resource lists, and deliver module training to you and your staff either face-to-face or online. I can also travel to your centre if you are in a different area.

My passion is mentoring, so let’s work together. Let me know how I can help and support your practice.

Thank you also for all the work you do with our children.

Testimonials

Principal, State School, North Qld

This is absolutely wonderful, Leanne!! Thank you so much

Your plan is so clear and detailed that there's no room for doubt, the QKLG is being thoroughly and meaningfully met. Knowing this has given me the confidence to support and encourage change among the team. So sharing with staff that this program and it has been developed and validated by you has given me the confidence to really advocate outdoor learning.  I believe this is going to be a great journey for them and hopefully they will begin to come on board.

On Monday, the children and I set up the mud kitchen, and the richness of the vocabulary that emerged was incredible. We went on a nature walk and discovered husks from coconuts. This sparked  beautiful "I wonder" moment, leading the children to imagine they were birdhouses, which they then placed thoughtfully around the trees.

Rocks became superheroes, and tiny, hairy caterpillars were spotted, prompting us to observe their movements and even mimic them in play. A selection of books was available and coincidentally, The Very Hungry Caterpillar was among them. We read it under a tree during rest time, and one child was so inspired they found a leaf and a seed and recreated the scene of the egg on a leaf from the story.

When it was time to go home, several children said, "But we haven’t even been at school yet!" A powerful reminder of how engaging, immersive, and meaningful outdoor learning can be. It truly was a magical day of discovery, imagination, and connection, all while being outside the entire time. I can continue week 1 plan on Friday with them and bring the rest of the school down for the afternoon.

The feedback from your session at the end of the day was all positive and many educators had reflected on how they were going to include more risky and nature play and offer more uninterrupted play in their programs. This is a great eye opener and a great place to start for these services towards making change for the better. You setup was beautiful and inspiring, it was absolutely wonderful that you were able to provide a hands on experience at a conference where people expect to be sitting all day and "talked at" which is something we wanted to avoid. Your stall was a wonderful touch too and I appreciate the effort you went to.

I just wanted to say thank you for the wonderful training last night. Everyone who attended has said how great it was. It has given a lot of educators here a lot of inspiration and they are setting goals for themselves.

Nurture Early Learning, Biloela

The team at Nurture Early Learning Biloela enjoyed a day packed with new learning and hands on experiences from Leanne and Eleanor. It was a time to immerse ourselves in nature, reflect on what play means to us and how we can embrace this at our own service and bush kindy.

A huge thanks to Leanne and Eleanor for sharing their knowledge and experience with us, you literally reignited our passion for nature play.
