TESTIMONIALS

This training gave me the confidence to introduce Loose Parts to our kindy — now it’s the children’s favourite part of the day!" – Educator, Bundaberg

This is absolutely wonderful, Leanne!! Thank you so much

Your plan is so clear and detailed that there's no room for doubt, the QKLG is being thoroughly and meaningfully met. Knowing this has given me the confidence to support and encourage change among the team. So sharing with staff that this program and it has been developed and validated by you has given me the confidence to really advocate outdoor learning.  I believe this is going to be a great journey for them and hopefully they will begin to come on board.

On Monday, the children and I set up the mud kitchen, and the richness of the vocabulary that emerged was incredible. We went on a nature walk and discovered husks from coconuts. This sparked  beautiful "I wonder" moment, leading the children to imagine they were birdhouses, which they then placed thoughtfully around the trees.

Rocks became superheroes, and tiny, hairy caterpillars were spotted, prompting us to observe their movements and even mimic them in play. A selection of books was available and coincidentally, The Very Hungry Caterpillar was among them. We read it under a tree during rest time, and one child was so inspired they found a leaf and a seed and recreated the scene of the egg on a leaf from the story.

When it was time to go home, several children said, "But we haven’t even been at school yet!" A powerful reminder of how engaging, immersive, and meaningful outdoor learning can be. It truly was a magical day of discovery, imagination, and connection, all while being outside the entire time. I can continue week 1 plan on Friday with them and bring the rest of the school down for the afternoon.

The team at Nurture Early Learning Biloela enjoyed a day packed with new learning and hands on experiences from Leanne. It was a time to immerse ourselves in nature, reflect on what play means to us and how we can embrace this at our own service and bush kindy.

A huge thanks to Leanne for sharing her knowledge and experience with us, you literally reignited our passion for nature play.
